Energy transition mineral and metals (ETM) are seen as essential for supporting efforts to decarbonise the global economy. This project compiles relevant datasets to enable scholars to examine the interface between the present and future prospective supply of ETMs and the lands and territories of Indigenous and Peasant peoples. The project extends previous interdisciplinary work undertaken at the Sustainable Minerals Institute (SMI) aimed at understanding the ‘source’ and ‘situated’ risks of various resource development propositions. Data for this project focuses primarily on source and situated risks from the perspective of permitting, consultation, and consent processes on Indigenous and Peasant lands.
