Prof. Deanna Kemp and Prof. John Owen have released a paper titled "Social performance gaps in the global mining industry: a position paper for executives." The paper highlights six social performance basics that need attention, and the consequences of the industry not addressing them. The authors are currently writing a companion piece that defines "Technical Excellence in Mining and Social Performance". This second piece aims to set an industry wide benchmark for resourcing and capability improvement for social performance.
